Contra III: The Alien Wars (SNES) (gamerip) (1992)

Great sountrack we have here, one of the best in videogame history. Who cant remember Tearing up the turnpike with its 80-90 beats. Tracks like Ground Zero or Invasion sends you instantly back to the 90's.
How to forget that level 3 boss, that peeps out through the wall he previously breaks

i like that video game music soundtrack. it reminds me of the original arcade video game music soundtrack of: konami's contra original (arcade video game music album soundtrack).

Contra III: The Alien Wars has a kick holy cow soundtrack! My favorites are Ground Zero, Tearing Up the Turnpike, Neo Kobe Steel Factory, Invasion, and Cease Fire. As for the game itself, it beats Contra and Super C by a long shot. The stages are fun and challenging. Especially challenging because this game is one of the hardest games I've played. I don't think it's harder then games Like Super Ghouls N' Ghosts, Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, Ecco The Tides Of Time, Gradius II, or Famicom Transformers, but it comes pretty damn close. Anyway, back to the stages. My favorite stages are the first stage, the third stage, the fourth stage, and the final stage. The only stages I hate in this game are the overhead stages because they're a massive pain to finish and on top of that, one of them has obstacles that turn the screen which will definitely not give you a headache. As for the weapons, they're extremely useful. Of course Contra III still has the amazing spread shot, but this game also has new weapons. Such as the homing shot which is its own weapon now and it's still great to use. Weapon F is now a powerful flamethrower instead of an expensive fireball and it's great to have for those annoying overhead stages. Weapon C fires rockets which is slow and isn't all that useful. The game also gives you an bomb that sucks against bosses, but it's a fine equation to the series. As for the bosses, they're hard as hell and some of them will have you screaming at the TV. Such as the wall boss from the third stage, the Airship from the fourth stage that requires you to jump across missiles while being shot at, the fifth stage boss that makes the sand spin you around when it gets low on health, and the brain boss from the final stage that takes too long to die with attacks that are near impossible to dodge. This game also gives you the ability to hang onto platforms and it gives you the ability to climb walls. Overall, Contra III is an amazing game with a kick holy cow soundtrack, fun and challenging stages, hard as hell bosses, useful weapons, etc.
Soundtrack: 8.8/10.
