BreakThru (NES) (gamerip) (1987)

Breakthru has a alright soundtrack that's good to listen to while your playing the game, but it's not something you'll listen to outside of the game. The game itself is good, but some of the enemies are very annoying like the helicopter enemies from the second stage. Aside from the helicopter enemies, most of the enemies either aren't very hard to defeat or get around, but some can be placed in annoying spots. The stages themselves are good and can be beaten very quickly. Hell, if you're good enough, you can beat the game in under 10 minutes. Anyways, back to the stages. The stages have some good set pieces like the bridge section from the second stage or in the first and five stage where you have to keep jumping over things. Yes, your car can jump over things. You don't even need a ramp to do so. Each time you die, you see the level map of all the levels you have to get through (Which is exactly like Ghosts n' Goblins). You also get to see the objective for each stage, so that's cool. Overall, the game is good with some good stages, okay enemies, a okay soundtrack, and good sprite work.
Soundtrack: 5.6/10.
Game: 6.3/10.
Note: Why is some of the tracks just the same sound effect, but extended to three minutes? Also, why is every song/effect named Track with a number at the end?
