- What's B-Sides?
It's a personal project I started with the goal of making "complementary"
albums to the official ones from the yakuza (Ryu Ga Gotoku) series, with tracks
not present in them, be it tracks that were never released officially, or
tracks released in compilations that are relevant to the game, official
remixes, in-game versions of tracks that are different from the official
version, or unused/unidentified tracks. It's a project motivated by the huge
amount of high quality tracks present in the games that were left apart from
the OST releases.

- About Yakuza 2 B-Sides
This album is the B-Sides corresponding to Yakuza 2 for PS2, with tracks not
present in the second volume of "Ryu ga Gotoku & Ryu ga Gotoku 2 Original Sound
Track".
This album consists mostly of cutscene tracks, licensed music by Crazy Ken
Band, and a few locations, minigames and extras. Given that the PS2 games have
the music from the cutscenes in the game files instead of being "baked" with
the dialogue and sound effects, it was an easy task to rip them properly.
There's a lot of discarded tracks since they were too basic, using repetitive
leitmotivs and without much musical value other than to accompany the
cutscenes where they're played. If there's demand for it, I could release a
"C-Sides" with them.
There was also a lot of editing required, since some tracks were split between
several files, so I had to "stitch" them together.
The tracks titled "cabaret ambience", "Hostess date", "Hunch" and "Search" are
unidentified or probably unused, I named them like that based on their original
file names.

I hope you enjoy this soundtrack as much as I did compiling it.
