Mario Kart Tour is the ninth main game in the Mario Kart series, and includes an ever-increasing selection of nitro, retro, and remix courses from across the series and the world. The game's soundtrack includes familiar versions of classic songs alongside some newly arranged tracks for the retro courses, and features an entirely new selection of songs for the nitro courses, with many of the cities' tracks feeling like a spot-on representation of the city.

How do you know this? Nintendo just used the music from the wii, so your claim is pretty stupid.
The Wii versions of tracks often have much more bass than other songs, and most of the Tour versions of songs have decreased bass compared to their original counterpart. It's most likely an intentional design choice either for phones or just balancing the sound inside the game.
The way to tell it's not actually ripped from the game? Aside from just comparing the Platinum Soundtrack version's file length, it's as simple as putting it in an audio spectrum analyzer to confirm that difference.
On the left, the actual music direct from the game, and on the right, the song currently on the album. I used the original intro and loop files for the song inside the game to "rebuild" the other version including a fade out for a better comparison.

It's clear you don't have any idea about how this works, so it's bold of you to say stuff like "your claim is pretty stupid" without understanding it yourself. In the case of Wii Rainbow Road, it isn't that big of a difference, in fact Tour's version is lower quality, but this is still not ok, especially because it is mastered differently.

Yes I have, and I was upset about it because I thought we would be getting a higher quality version of the Wii/3DS renditions of the battle themes.
The reason the raw empty files are in the datamines, are because the files are actually in the game. The audio files that any audio program can open (.wav) don't include music that was not in the game files.
So...literally just what I said about the courses having files but being empty? You're kinda making this confusing by saying "the files are actually in the game" because you make it sound like the music files currently in this album are from the game when they are very much not and are never heard in the game/left in the files unused at all.
Wii Rainbow Road wasn't ripped from this game either, it was taken from the MKWii Platinum Soundtrack which is mastered differently - misleading for being a gamerip.

I think DK Mountain and Dino Dino Jungle uses it's original mix and not the Mario Kart 7 version, great work on this soundtrack!
It's no problem. I'm just glad that others appreciate the game and its amazing collection of music. I'm trying to get updates available to be uploaded almost every week.

Alright, with a brand new nitro course hitting the game earlier today, I figured it's time to prepare an update for this. I'll be adding GBA Snow Land, Wii Rainbow Road, Piranha Plant Cove, and several more final lap versions of songs.
Also, just so everyone knows and can stop commenting about it, I don't have the time to update the soundtrack for every single new song added, so just expect me to do so every two months or so... thanks!
If only the Battle Music Tracks were in the game... Sad Times
Gotta love how Tour just uses the Original Versions of the track's music and not remixes. Like just do that, then update the game to have feature to swap out between the Original and the Remix.

I have slowly been working my way through those because as it turns out, the game doesn't have separate files for the final lap variations of any songs besides the two versions of 3DS Rainbow Road (as those two directly use the final lap themes from Mario Kart 7). This means that it manually speeds and pitches up the base songs when you enter the final lap, explaining how the music is able to so seamlessly continue from where it left off when transitioning to the final lap. Hope this explains why it's not all that cut and dry, as I have to go out of my way to get them in.

Don't worry, that'll be up soon, and yes the new arrangement for Boo Lake slaps. I'm gonna leave the real battle themes for each retro battle course in the update since they're all actually in the game's files despite going unused because apparently SNES Battle Course 1 MK8DX edition is so good that it had to be used instead.

Okay, so before anyone says anything about it, I just realized that the file name for 3DS Piranha Plant Slide (Underground) uses the course's British-English name of 3DS Piranha Plant Pipeway by mistake. I honestly have no idea how that slipped by me or why it was ever called that to start with because fun fact: I'm not British.
Side note, I have no clue why Berlin Byways still has the "2" after it since I very distinctly remember changing it from Berlin Byways 1-2 to just Berlin Byways, and yet somehow it ended up as neither...
Anyways, that'll all probably be fixed whenever I next need to update the soundtrack, so until then...

yay! I really like this game and glad to see its here :) Ive been playing this since it came out and really like it! I think my fav songs are Vancouver Velocity, Los Angeles Laps, Tokyo Blur, and Sydney Spirit.
Is Tokyo Blur MONO?
Yes, for some reason it is. Tokyo Blur would've been the first track I added to this soundtrack nearly two years ago, so I somehow must've screwed up and unknowingly didn't afterwards. It will be fixed in the next update to the soundtrack, which will occur after GBA Sky Garden is added to the game in just over two weeks.

as of now, you can rip the music without having to download the music from youtube, you need ravioli extractor and a rooted phone to extract the files

Thanks. You know, I kept getting the feeling something was off about the song each time I heard it in my playlist, but I couldn't put my finger on what it was. I'll see what I can do to fix that in my next update (which will also add GBA Cheep-Cheep Island).

I don't think it's laziness. I think it has to do with the fact that it might be hard to control with anti-gravity. but I don't work for nintendo (nor am I old enough to get a job), so I don't know.

That was an unintentional error that happened when I last updated the soundtrack. We were going to wait until new songs were added to the game before updating the Soundtrack next, but since the next Tour won't feature a track with a new song like the last one, that'll be dealt with soon.
I like the soundtrack, but why are there some duplicates now?
Maybe the whole not-implementing anti-gravity thing is just out of laziness, though it could be just a hardware limitation or something. The lack of battle mode is definitely more so because auto-acceleration and touch-controls wouldn't really work well for battle mode, so they'd either have to make there be controls for accelerating and backing up for battle mode specifically or add controller support to the entire game.

Only disappointment I find in this game is the fact that it's a mobile copy of mario kart 7, other than that, all is well
It's missing some of the newer tracks but this is a constantly updated game and they got most of my favorite tracks so good job!
