The game has great music and even if you never heard of Mario Kart Wii before or it's soundtrack, a new player won't find it unlistenable as in it's nails on a chalkboard or something like that. I never played this game that much and its music is awesome so I don't really agree with that completely. But I do agree that playing a game can enhance its music. It's easier to enjoy music when you can associate it with something.

It's real easy to fall off the track on Wii Rainbow Road. It's the only track in the game I have a problem with.
I replayed this game back in July with the goal of unlocking every character, Kart, and bike in the game. It wasn't very hard to accomplish aside from getting a one star or higher on the special cup because that cup has the worst track in the game *cough* *cough* Rainbow Road *cough* *cough*. Aside from Rainbow Road and the stupid blue shells the game decided to throw at me because it felt like screwing me over, it was medium difficulty compared to the other games I have beaten like Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship Of Doom, and Ecco The Dolphin for example.

Mario Kart Wii was my first Mario Kart game as well. Back in the day, I thought the game was really hard and I couldn't get first place in lightning cup on mirror mode. Back when I played the game again in February 2022, the game was pretty easy... until you get to mirror mode where a single screw up would send you from first to 8th place. As for the Wii itself, it's a amazing console, but I'm more a fan of the NES and SNES, but it's a great way to make a comeback after whatever the hell they thought the N64 was (I'm referring to it's game library compared to Nintendo's past two consoles). To this day, I still haven't played any game on the GameCube let alone own the console itself, so I can't say anything about it.
Same story with me tbh expect that I played NES and SNES games later down the line either through emulation or my 12 month NSO(Nintendo Switch Online) that I got for Christmas. And the GameCube well that's a console i haven't touched at all, along with the N64,Wii U(because I thought it was just an upgraded Nintendo Wii), the original Game Boy, Virtual Boy(cause the's the upmost worst of consoles I've mentioned) and I think that's it from all I can remember at the very least

That's the same story for me too, except I played it more often when I finally got my own Wii, cause I played it at my grandparent's house, and I they let me have it so I could play with my siblings.

So I'm glad to be one of the many fans of Mario Kart Wii!

I would love that too but, the songs are automatically changed when hit by lighting or squished. As a Mario Kart Wii modder, when I change music in MKWii, I just need to manually change the regular music and the final lap music but the Lighting music is changed automatically. If you really want the lighting music, you'll have to manually change it using a music program. Tell me if you find a way to convert music to that sound effect cause I really want those ost too! Best of luck!
Ahh so your a modder. Well unfortunately, I know nothing about digging into the files of MKWii. Which is why I’m asking moderators to see if they can figure out a way to do it. I have a YouTube link to to an example of the Lightning effect music if you want it. However, this won’t help, because the YouTuber who posted the music doesn’t give a description on how he did it.

Can you make Crosstracks for tracks that have more than one version, like Moonview Highway, Bowser's Castle, Dry Dry Ruins, Koopa Cape, and Wario's Gold Mine.
Staff Roll 2 is by far my favorite track in all of gaming. My favorite track from this game besides that is DK Summit.

After playing the game again after 4 or so years, I can say the game is definitely as good as I remember it. The tracks are great, the soundtrack is amazing (Especially the top results theme song), and the gameplay is fun. That and I love the Ballon battle and coin battle modes. Although, I do have some problems with the game.
1.The blue shell: I swear to god every time you get close to finishing a race, the blue shell arrives to remind you that it's the bane of your existence. Unfortunately, there is no way to get rid of it until mario kart 8.
2.The AI is extremely cheap: (150cc and mirror mode to be pacific). What I mean by that is that their speed remains the same when they're small, but you move slower. Sometimes, the shells will just past right through them even though it clearly hit them. When they're hit by a pow block, One of them will recover faster then you do for some reason. Hell, sometimes they even have the exact same kart as you do. That and when you make one small mistake on 150cc or mirror mode, you'll be at 9th or 10th place.
3.Mirror mode: When I played the game again last month, mirror mode reminded me why I hate it so much. I hate it because of the AI and some courses are just a massive pain to beat. Such as rainbow road which can go screw it off. Overall, mario kart wii is a blast to play and it's even more fun when you get to ruin your friendships with the blueshell.
Soundtrack: 9.3/10.

I agree, the blue shell does suck. I was dominating the race one time and then I got hit with a blue shell, red shell, and then a thunderbolt and went from 1st all the way to last. I was near the finish and I haven't touched the game ever since. The soundtrack is amazing though. The losing music is the best.

Dude, even IF Nintendo removed Nintendo WFC, these songs are still part of the game, Unhearable or not. Monster (Friday Night Funkin') is still classified as a song, even though it goes completely unused!

Good music for single download and listen, but it doesn't really work for listening during schoolwork. If I take out the second half, it's less repetitive (as in not much change in song) but it still is all the soundtrack, which is what is important! :)

This is honestly the best soundtrack in any mario kart game. It has several different styles, while all being upbeat, and is just so gosh darn good!
