I agree and Aria of Sorrow doesn't do that stupid upside down castle thing that just makes the game feel like it's dragging on like Harmony of Dissonance or Symphony of The Night. Or in Harmony of Dissonance's case, it does the different colors thing with a few minor differences. Sometimes, a shorter game is a good thing.

I would agree with you about the Reverse Castles. They kinda feel tacked on just for the sake of content. Apparently the Reverse Castle was added towards the end of development (in Symphony of the Night's case), so it makes sense that the reverse castle is well, an upside down version of the main castle. I would have much proffered a new area of the map to explore for the true final part of the game, even if it was short.

Aria of Sorrow is my favorite Castlevania game and one of the top 5 overall. The gameplay is amazing and it is graphically impressive for the GBA. It's the best out of the GBA trilogy and packs in a lot of new features. The castle is well planned out and the soul system, while having scarce enemy drops, is fun to mix and match and have a good time with. The soundtrack is amazing. If you can get past the GBA fuzziness it has some amazing tracks and themes that rival that of Symphony of the Night. Now taken the game is a bit on the easier side, especially when compared to Circle of the Moon, but it's still challenging enough. A great game with an amazing soundtrack. It's a shame the other GBA games in the series weren't as good.

Castlevania: Aria Of Sorrow is one of the best Castlevania games I've ever played and it's a top three GBA game. It has a outstanding soundtrack, a great story, fun bosses that range from pathetically easy to really hard, the soul system is great to miss around with to find what soul set up suits you, but I don't like the large amounts of grinding for some of them if you're luck is bad. On top of that, the castle in Aria Of Sorrow is very well designed with fun enemies to fight as well as bosses with some great weapons to collect. In fact, Aria Of Sorrow is so good that I actually wanted to buy a physical cartridge of it for my GBA, but then I looked at the price for it. Thankfully, it is available on the Castlevania Advance Collection, so there is a cheap way to play it. Speaking of that, Konami needs to make that Castlevania DS Collection already:l

Castlevania aria of sorrows soundtrack is fantastic! It doesn't beat symphony of the night, or dracula x, but it comes pretty close. The game itself, is amazing and changes up the formula. What I mean by that is that they don't use the symphony of the night formula or use the circle of the moon formula. Instead, when you kill enemies, you can take their soul and use their abilities. You get bullet souls, guardian souls, enchanted souls, and ability souls. Each of them are different from one another. (I forgot what the yellow and Grey ones do because I haven't played the game in two months). The areas are fun to explore and the enemies are once again, mostly fair and fun to fight. The bosses are hard again and this time, they don't take forever to kill. *cough* *cough* Circle of the moon *cough* *cough* *cough*. The difficulty of the game is hard and fair. It doesn't have loads of enemies that can kill you in just 10 or so seconds. Like symphony of the night, you use swords, guns, souls, and other weapons instead of the whip. Unlike symphony of the night and harmony of dissonance, you don't have to beat another castle to beat the game. The game also has a boss rush mode which is really fun to play. That and you can play as Julius Belmont after you beat the game. Overall, aria of sorrow is a fantastic game with a incredible soundtrack, fun bosses, and fun gameplay.
Soundtrack: 9/10.
Game: 9.1/10.

this version of Heart of fire is different from the castlevania I.
I think the most part of this version is most similar to Haunted Casttle Arcade soundtrack Hardly wait till night, and the last part is like the original Heart of fire

One of the best Castlevnia games ever on Game Boy Advance, and a "must have" for GBA and DS owners.
