Mario Kart Wii (Wii) (gamerip) (2008)

Most of this music is mediocre and unlistenable if you don't know the game.
Un-huh. The game's soundtrack isn't "unlistenable if you don't know the game." The game has great music and even if you never heard of Mario Kart Wii before or it's soundtrack, a new player won't find it unlistenable as in it's nails on a chalkboard or something like that. As for the first half, the soundtrack depends on the player's taste in music/video game music. P.S. I don't know about you, but it sounds like you came with some BS hot take just for the sake of having a different opinion.

Unlistenable if you don't know the game? What do you mean by that?
I guess what he's saying is that it is one of those games where you have to play the game for the music to be good. As in the music is solid but you have to be playing the game for it to be listenable. (Playing the game enhances the music maybe??)

I never played this game that much and its music is awesome so I don't really agree with that completely. But I do agree that playing a game can enhance its music. It's easier to enjoy music when you can associate it with something.

Actually, your enjoyment of a song can also be harmed if you associate it with something bad.

I'm expressing my opinion, that's what comments are for. If you want to know what my taste in game music is, check out this among others :

You didn't explain or give any details why you have that opinion. So, that's why I assumed you just said that just to be different.

This is the first Mario Kart game i've ever played, and is personally my favorite of all the cart games.the music is so classic.
If I recall, I think this is also my first Mario Kart game. I don't remember very well because I also had a Nintendo DS (the original one) which had Mario Kart DS. I'm not sure which I played first, but Mario Kart Wii is my favorite Mario Kart game of all time and there's only two entries of the series I haven't played. The ones I haven't played are Double Dash and Super Circuit.
